PARINGA CHAROLAIS, DIFFERENT FROM THE REST

Awesome Calving Ease and short gestation – less pressure on cows and gives them more time to get back in calf.

Massive Early Growth as weaners and yearlings, much sooner than most Charolais. This early growth is what makes you money.

Carcase with quality. Our Charolais are renowned for their large rib eyes, excellent meat quality with better fat cover. They have the potential to marble well in mid feed programs.

Check out the latest Charolais EBVs and you will see Paringa at the top for every trait!

PARINGA CHAROLIAS
MORE KG/COW= MORE/HA = MORE PROFIT!

Son of A1 , C165E has measured a huge 555kgs at 329 days and scanned at 99sqcm with 3mm fat and high potential to marble, simply amazing at this age! In the same large contemporary group C148 weighed in at a whopping 480kgs with 90sqcm rib and 3.5% IMF with 6mm of fat at 329 days of age. This balance is unheard of with Charolais bulls and they will be carrying Paringa into the future. These bulls and many like them will be offered for sale in February 2009 along with many by LT Western Spur, LP Blue Grass and No Doubt (Gridmakers greatest son). No bulls are retained and used within our herd as we believe in only using highly proven bulls critical for linkage, more accurate Breedplan records and more rapid genetic gain. It’s simple!

2008 Bull Sale Sale Report and selected images.

Quality of the Paringa Charolais sale line up was evident visually with the data to prove it. A large crowd and number of registered buyers generated an exciting atmosphere on the 19th February at our 4th annual and first on property sale.

A total clearance and $4100 average for 41 bulls capped off a solid start to the sale, when bulls sold to $11,000 and females to $10,500. The spread of buyers from Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania was particularly pleasing. Unlike the demand for the bulls which was dictated by commercial breeders, the female offering attracted strong interest from several Charolais studs.

The top priced bull, a 12 month old sired by MD Sentinel Ruler considered the pick of the full ET brothers and a star lot was bought by Chris Davison of Freshwater for $11,000. Paringa have retained a 50% semen share. Werribee Agriculture, a valued repeat buyer went home with 5 bulls. While the remaining lots mostly sold from $3000 to $6500.

Leading the bidding on the female and embryo lots was Debra Halliday of Waterford Charolais Mt Macedon who purchased six lots including the $10,500 Paringa Prime Cut whom had exceptional EBVs. Other major buyers of cows and heifers were Ashwood Park, Vernola Charolais, Pine Park and Paul Webster, Murrindindi.
